AN inquest into the death of the teenager who died when her car went into a water-filled ditch at Welney was opened and adjourned on Wednesday.
Nineteen-year-old Megan Warner of Leverington died on Monday at Sandgate Terrace, Wisbech Road in Welney. Firefighters were called at 5.12pm to the car which was almost completely submerged in water.
Megan is the daughter of Wendy and Bill and Brian and Mandy, and the sister of Carmen, Sam and Russell.
A funeral service will be held at St Leonard's Church, Leverington, next Friday (May 15) followed by interment in the churchyard. Megan's wish was for mourners to wear bright colours and for them to take along a rose.
