ALL four post offices in Fenland earmarked for closure by the Post Office will not be saved, it was announced this morning.
Post office Ltd has decided the post offices in Harecroft Road, Wisbech; St Peter's Road, March; Christchurch and Benwick will be closed.
A total of 64 branches across Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and South Lincolnshire will close under the government's target to close 2,500 post offices.
A spokesman for Post Office Ltd said: "Postwatch scrutinised each of Post Office Ltd's proposals, encouraged customers to engage in the consultation process, and worked to ensure Post Office Ltd took into account responses submitted."
Closures will begin next month.
