TEENAGER Sophie Davies is dreaming of a modelling career after making it through to the semi-final of a beauty pageant.

Sophie, aged 18, now needs plenty of public support to get her through to the live final of Teen Queen UK, by registering votes by text message or phone call.

Her photo is currently featured on the Teen Queen web site, with votes being recorded as they are made.

"I am currently in sixth place out of 50 girls, I need as many votes as possible," said Sophie, of Norwood Road, March.

"The first three girls go through to the final in August, there are great prizes up for grabs, including modelling contracts, a laptop, and a new wardrobe," said an excited Sophie this week.

Student, Sophie entered the pageant when she met representatives of Teen Queen UK at the Clothes Show, and was invited to attend a photo shoot in London last month.

"This is something I have always wanted to do," said Sophie. "I have always enjoyed having my photo taken, and I have had great support from my dad and step-mum Jamie and Sandra Davies, and from my sister Hayley. They have been brilliant.

"I want to grab this opportunity; it could open the door to something big."

To support Sophie, please text her name "sophie davies" to 84205, or phone 09016561515, then give her number 11. The poll ends at 11.30pm on June 30.
