POLICE tonight released the names of the victims involved in a fatal accident on the A17 Tilney All Saints. The crash occurred at around 9:10am on Friday.

Jason Duffield aged 45 and Gillian Underwood aged 53, both from the Hull area, died after their blue Fiat Stilo was in collision with a white Renault articulated lorry.

Both died at the scene.

Police are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision, who saw either vehicle prior to it, or anyone who may have been along that stretch of road at the time.

The investigating officer, PC Michael Pearce, is particularly keen to trace a light coloured vehicle that would have been in the immediate vicinity of the collision at the time. This vehicle was travelling towards Kings Lynn.

Anyone with information is asked to contact PC Pearce at Norfolk Constabulary on 0845 456 4567 or anonymously by calling Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

A spokeswoman for Norfolk Constabulary said: "The blue Fiat Stilo was travelling along the A17 towards King's Lynn when, for reasons unknown it was involved in a head-on collision with a white and black HGV travelling in the opposite direction.

"The 53-year-old male driver of the HGV was treated for shock but was otherwise uninjured."

Officers are particularly keen to speak to the driver of a silver saloon car which may have been overtaken by the Fiat prior to the crash.
