FENLAND farmer Duncan Boughton will be hosting an auction of 250 lots later this month including specialist potato growing and irrigation equipment.
Brown and Co will be conducting the auction at Ransonmoor Farm, Benwick Road, Doddington, from 10.30am on March 18.
A spokesman for the auctioneers said the sale was "due to changing farming practises". He said the lots will include two 1999 Pearson Enterprise potato harvesters and two mobile graders together with other grading and bagging equipment.
"March CFC Limited is rationalising its farming operations and coming out of potato production to concentrate on other crops," said the spokesman.
"Featuring quality potato machinery and equipment, we expect the sale to draw potential buyers from around the UK and overseas.
"Auction sales provide an ideal opportunity for farmers to realise the value of existing potato and other machinery assets that they no longer require, but which still have value.
