SHORT questionnaires are being sent to 4,000 Fenland residents in an attempt to monitor the energy efficiency of local housing, including finding out any improvements that householders have made during the past 12 months. The replies will help Fenland District Council assess whether there are any improvement grants to which residents may be entitled. The aim is to ensure that everyone in the district lives in a warm and decent home.

The first 200 people to respond to the questionnaire will receive a free "Powerdown" device worth 10 to help them start saving energy immediately.
