EMNETH: Burglars force residents to hand over large sums of cash in own home

A GANG of four burglars forced residents of a Fenland village to hand over large amounts of cash in their own home.

The burglary took place at a home in Fendyke Road, Emneth, yesterday at 6.50pm.

The four suspects forced their way into the home by smashing the glass of a rear door, before demanding the occupants hand over the cash.

They then left the home and are though to have made off in a motor vehicle, or on motorcycles.

Norfolk Police have issued an appeal for public information. A spokesman said: "Officers would like to hear from anyone who may have noticed any suspicious persons or vehicles in the area at the time stated or from anyone with information in relation to the suspects."
