TWO youngsters from a Wisbech school will be given the star treatment at the town's Rainbow supermarket, when it reopens for business.
The supermarket is scheduled to reopen on Tuesday, November 13, almost a year after being destroyed by fire.
Two pupils of Elm Road Primary School will officially reopen the store, after a half-term drawing competition in which pupils had to draw their favourite foods.
Judging will take place next week, when children return from their half term, with a winner from Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. The competition winners will be joined by the school's council for the opening.
Jill Basson, promotional marketing manager for Anglia Co-op, said: "The two winners will come along and be treated like stars for the day."
They will also be joined by the longest-serving member of staff, assistant manager Viv Richardson, who has worked for the Co-op for 37 years.
The store will reopen for business at 8am, with the official opening ceremony taking place at 10am.
Mrs Basson said: "The store is going to have a completely different look from any other Rainbow store. It will have fair trade products, a larger range of chilled foods and a new indulgence range.
