A DRUNK who caused a rumpus at Wisbech and District Ex-Service's Club is to be assessed for alcohol treatment.
John Smith has admitted committing a string of offences at the club on Valentine's Day.
He assaulted barman Iain Ward; damaged two panes of glass, an internal door and a notice board; and assaulted two police officers.
Last month 31-year-old Smith, of Westmead Avenue, Wisbech, was told by Fenland magistrates that he could be sent to jail.
Today the court refused to impose an interim drinking banning order on Smith; all matters were adjourned until May 5.
Smith is still banned from the club as a condition of his bail.
