POLICE are appealing to people about an incident in which a motorist got out of his car and hit another vehicle with a baseball bat.

The incident happened at around 11.15pm on Wednesday June 21 in South Brink, Wisbech.

The victim, who is not being identified by police, was driving along Cromwell Road towards Freedom Bridge when a man in a Ford Orion car flashed his headlights at him. The Ford then overtook the victim's blue Vauxhall Vectra, and, afterwards, the victim overtook the Orion before they both stopped at traffic lights.

At that point, the driver got out of his car and struck the Vectra on the offside front window, damaging the opening mechanism, but not smashing the glass. The man then drove off.

The assailant is said to be white, 6ft 2in tall, 25-30 years old, of medium build with short brown hair. He wore a white T-shirt and blue jeans at the time.

Pc Colin Norden, from Wisbech Police Station said: "I am appealing for anyone who saw this incident to contact us.
