A drink driver was arrested in Wisbech during the early hours of Saturday for being more than three times the legal limit.

A police spokesman writing on the Facebook page, Policing Wisbech, wrote on May 28: “At 1.30am officers on patrol saw a silver Mazda motor vehicle leave Bedford Street (wrong way down no entry) and turn onto the Horsefair Roundabout.

“The vehicle then turned onto Lynn Road and gone the wrong side of the road. Officers stopped the vehicle and spoke with the driver.

“A breath test was carried out and the driver was arrested on suspicion of drink driving, no insurance and driving with no driving licence.

“The driver provided a reading at the road side of 116ugs, legal limit 35ugs.”
