THE Minor Injuries Unit at Doddington Hospital re-opened yesterday, after temporarily closing last week due to unforeseen staff sickness.
The unit is open from 9am-5pm Monday to Friday and sees up to 40 patients each day, treating minor ailments and injuries such as cuts, sprains and fractures.
Jackie Galwey, Acting County Lead for Adult Services at Cambridgeshire Community Services said: "We have sufficient staff working on the unit from today to enable us to resume a normal service at Doddington Hospital.
"The unit is run by a small team of specialist staff and due to unforeseen high levels of staff sickness it was necessary to temporarily close this service last week.
"I apologise again to our patients for the inconvenience caused last week.
