A NEW zip wire ride for disabled children was put through its paces at the Waterlees adventure play park in Wisbech, when youngsters from the Camplay scheme visited the site.
The youngsters had a whale of a time as they rode in a specially designed cradle seat attached to the wire, giving them a thrilling ride from top to bottom.
Camplay, a holiday and Saturday club for children and young people aged from six to 19, with moderate or severe physical or learning disablilities, visit the park on a regular basis.
Members also enjoyed a variety of other activities, including climbing the cargo net, riding on the swings and using the tube slide.
A number of improvements to the park have been carried out, including a rubber mulch installed to replace gravel, as well as the car park and performance areas being resurfaced to allow for better access to the site.
