Police held a cycle coding event in Wisbech on Saturday in response to an increase in the number of thefts.
Fifteen people had their cycles coded and the local neighbourhood policing team were on hand to give general advice on how to keep bikes safe and secure.
PCSO Steve Stainforth advised everyone to take photographs of their bikes so they can show police if they are stolen. He urged cyclists to lock up their bikes whenever they leave them, even if it is just a short period of time.
