Three fire crews and a water carrier from Fakenham were called to a house fire in Middle Drove, Marshland St. James this afternoon.

A Norfolk fire service spokesman said: “The alarm was raised just after 2.30pm.

“Crews from Wisbech, King’s Lynn North and King’s Lynn South, along with a water carrier from Fakenham, were sent to the scene.

“The fire took half an hour to extinguish, using hose reel and main jets. No-one was injured.

“Firefighters used a thermal imaging camera to ensure the fire was out and check for hot spots.”
