CHECKING out his girlfriend's Facebook computer site gave Benjamin Boldan quite a shock, as he found pictures of her kissing other men.
He spent a sleepless night - and the next morning he attacked a man he believed had featured in the photos.
Boldan grabbed Gavin Mann's jacket, tried to head butt and knee him, and punched him in the face.
A shocked Mr Mann had been walking with Boldan's partner Leanne Gowler at the time of the attack, after they finished a night shift.
Boldan, 22, of Wellington Terrace, Wisbech, admitted assaulting Mr Mann on February 23.
"He told police he was not in control, because he had not slept and had worked himself up," added Mrs Fawcett.
Boldan was ordered to pay £150 compensation to his victim, carry out 150 hours of unpaid work, and pay £85 costs.
Boldan had come across his partner's photos after finding the computer on stand by, as he prepared to send some e-mails.
"He believed one of the pictures included Mr Mann, he suffered from a lack of sleep, and decided to finish the relationship," said Mrs Fawcett.
District Judge Ken Sheraton said the £150 compensation should be paid soon - and gave Bolden six weeks to try and find a job so the sum could be paid.
"He would say it was not the victim's fault, he feels he was provoked, because he saw the Facebook site," said solicitor John Clarke. "He thought they were having an affair.
"He thought he recognised the victim's face on Facebook.
