Wisbech market has signed up to a national charter to ensure safe and fair trading.
As part of their commitment to the Real Deal charter, Wisbech Town Council are working with Trading Standards officers at Cambridgeshire County Council to ensure fake goods and other illicit items are not sold on the market.
Wisbech Town Councillor David Oliver, chairman of the council’s Market Place Management Committee, said: “We take very seriously the importance of ensuring those people who spend money at the Wisbech market are able to feel secure in the knowledge each product they purchase is a legitimate item.
“The council feels that signing up to the Real Deal campaign gives Wisbech Market a seal of approval.”
