POLICE officers in Wisbech teamed up with members of the Ferry Project to carry out a clear-up operation in De Havilland Road.
They collected 26 bags of rubbish along with two shopping trolleys, a microwave and various other large items.
Police have warned that anyone caught littering will be issued with a £50 fixed penalty notice.
PCSO Donna Grummit said: "The clear up is part of work to improve the De Havilland Road area. Often when an area is heavily littered, people think there is a high crime rate in the area and this is not always the case."
A second clear-up in the area will take place on Tuesday.
