THE Swan Inn, Parson Drove, staged its first beer festival on Saturday with village groups raising nearly £1,000 between them.
Fun included target bowls by the village bowling club, a football game organised by the village football team and a bottle stall run by the village pre-school, while there was also a raffle and barbecue.
Along with the stalls, there were 12 guest ales for the festival, with T-shirts and glasses printed for the occasion.
Steve Ambrose, landlord of the Swan Inn, said: "For the first time it was very successful and we are starting to think about the next festival.
