PEDIGREE, cross-bred and rescued dogs battled it out to see who would be named best in show at a charity dog show.
But the real winners were the Wisbech-based Cat Haven and Upwell-based Katz Cottage, which organised the event and shared the £490 raised.
Tracy Reeve, head trustee of the Cat Haven, said: "It was our best ever show. It was a super day and we definitely needed the money."
About 70 dogs were entered into 27 classes at the show at Upwell Playing Field on Sunday. A little short of £300 was raised from entry fees, with the rest raised from refreshments and a raffle.
Ms Reeve said the charity was set to hold its first cat show in Upwell village hall in October.
