More than 100 people packed into St Peter and St Paul’s Church in Wisbech last weekend for an “excellent and enjoyable” concert by the Kol Echad Choir.
The show was in aid of refugees in Cambridgeshire and more than £500 was raised at a collection during the night.
Canon Mathew Bradbury of St Peter’s Church, who hosted the event, said that it was a “stimulating, memorable and uplifting event”.
It was all organised by Bharat `Khetani from the Wisbech Interfaith Forum who said the event was “a great success”.
The Kol Echad Choir were welcomed at the council chamber by the mayor and mayoress.
The concert, held on Saturday, November 17, was attended by the deputy mayor of Wisbech, Cllr Michael Hill, as well as representatives from the Wisbech and Peterborough Interfaith groups.
A spokesman said: “On Saturday the Mayor and Mayoress hosted the Wisbech Interfaith Forum in the council chamber, and welcomed the Kol Echad Choir from Cambridge.”
