JACK'S Nightclub is to be given a new name on New Year's Eve after the club was taken over by Brett Phillips, from Peterborough.
And the club, in Nene Parade, Wisbech, will begin hosting birthday parties in the new year.
These are just two of the changes to the club, aimed at boosting attendances. Other changes will involve rhythm and blues nights, commercial nights and dance nights.
But Mr Phillips has dismissed rumours that the club is to close. He is fighting to secure the future of the club which is the subject of a compulsory purchase order in connection with Fenland District Council's Nene Waterfront Development plans.
Our picture above shows Mr Phillips, left, with gospel singer Chris Willis, who has been performing at the club since the takeover.
