IT was once believed a cat could purr its way out of anything, but no amount of purring could get this cat of trouble,
For three days it was stuck on the roof of a bungalow in Woodlands Court, Wisbech, and no amount of cajoling could bring it down.
Luckily help was on hand when Wisbech fire-fighters, complete with ladder, popped by to rescue it.
The feline drama came to an end at 5pm on Monday with the cat back on terra firma, and the fire-fighters able to return to base.
