TWO casualties had to be cut free from a car after it crashed into a ditch in Leverington in the small hours.

Fire fighters from Wisbech and Dogsthorpe in Peterborough were called to the scene of the incident on the A1101 Dowgate Road at 1.05am today (Monday, August 6).

They used specialist cutting equipment to free the casualties before returning to their bases at 2.45am.
