A car – being driven through a park in Wisbech while families enjoyed their weekend – has been seized this weekend (June 23).

Officers were called to Wisbech Park at around 4pm after reports came in that the Vauxhall Corsa was driving in the park.

A spokesman for Cambridgeshire Police said: “At 16:11 hours on Saturday June 23 officers were called to Wisbech Park after reports of a Vauxhall Corsa was being driven in the park while there were families enjoying their afternoon.

“Officers found the vehicle abandoned on Verdun Road. It was seized under section 165 of the Road Traffic Act for no insurance.

“Enquiries are continuing.”
