Police shut down cannabis factory in Ferry Lane, Newton.


A cannabis factory was closed down in Ferry Lane, Newton yesterday after police received a call from a member of the public.

Although no plants had been grown, police found a number of hydroponic water and heating equipment in the loft of the house.

The growing equipment was seized and disclaimed by the owner.

No arrests were made.
