A WOMAN who devotes her time to re-housing former racing greyhounds has appealed to Wisbech Standard readers to help her find some of her animals new homes.

Barbara Townsend says she has a list of dogs looking for someone to "give them a bit of affection".

She said: "They are idle animals and only need two short walks or a run around a garden a day. They are very loyal animals and bond very quickly."

Mrs Townsend, of Marshland Villa Farmhouse, Marshland St James, said: "All our dogs come vaccinated, spayed or castrated and wormed. In return, all we ask for is a donation."

She said she was particularly in need of help at the moment because she has "one or two that I am having difficulty re-homing".

If you can help, call her on 01945 430311, 07717 217347 or 07831 560562.
