A BOX of gold jewellery has been snatched from the passenger seat of a van in Wisbech.
The thief stole the jewellery in the Market Place at around 3.20pm on Monday - while a market trader was packing up her stall.
A gold band ring - which had a ‘750’ heart on the inside of the band and a row of square diamonds - and a D&G watch were taken from the seat of the silver Ford Transit Connect.
The offender ran off towards Market Street.
PC Colin Johnson, investigating, said: “I would appeal to anyone who saw what happened or who knows who is responsible to contact police.
“I would like to hear from anyone who is offered any jewellery for sale.”
Anyone with any information should call PC Johnson on 0345 456 456 4 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111.
