A STYLISH send-off for upper sixth form leavers was staged at Wisbech Grammar School.
Nearly 70 students and staff gathered for a black tie dinner. The evening began with canaps and Pimms on the headmaster’s lawn, accompanied by a swing band fronted by lead singer Eleanor Mole.
The diners enjoyed a menu of chicken tagine, vegetarian moussaka and baked whole salmon prepared by head of food and nutrition Mrs Alison Sloan and her talented team, and served by members of the first and second forms and lower sixth.
Deputy head Miss Christine Noxon, who organized the celebration, said: “The students shared their memories of their years at Wisbech Grammar School. It was a lovely and very memorable evening.”
