A BARN destroyed by fire was set alight by arsonists.
Fire fighters from Wisbech and Long Sutton were called to the blaze in Sutton Road, Newton at 7.45pm on Saturday (August 18).
They extinguished the flames and returned to their stations within two hours but the barn, which measured approximately 4 x 8m, was completely destroyed.
“The cause of the fire was deliberate,” a fire service spokesman confirmed.
Anyone with information about the arson should contact Cambridgeshire Police on 101.
