CHILDREN from the Wisbech Baptist Junior Church have sent 48 boxes to the Samaritans Purse Shoe Box Appeal for children in eastern European countries.

Wisbech Baptist Church regularly takes part in the Shoe Box appeal and the youngsters were especially keen to prepare and send the boxes on their way.

They hope that the boxes, which are filled with toys, stationery and other gifts for children up to 14 years old will help bring some extra love and surprises for those for whom Christmas this year will now be just a little bit more special.

Wisbech Baptist Junior Church meets every Sunday at 10.30am with its own programme and everyone is welcome to attend.
