JUST three weeks after being banned from driving, Wisbech man Jozef Gadzik ignored the court order and took to the road.

Police stopped him as he drove an Audi A6 on Churchill Road in Wisbech, and he claimed to be demonstrating the car to a prospective buyer.

Asking Fenland magistrates not to send Gadzik to jail this week, solicitor John Clarke said: "He would be far more useful in the community if he kept his liberty and continued to look after his family."

Gadzik, 34, of Harrys Way, Wisbech, was ordered to perform 200 hours of unpaid work and pay £60 costs.
