Less than 18 months ago a large wooden climbing frame at The Spinney adventure playground was set on fire.

On their website Wisbech Adventure Playground say they welcome children of all ages to come and enjoy the facilities and activities on offer. (Children under the age of 6 must be accompanied by a parent or carer over the age of 16)

Entry to the playground is free and it is staffed for part of the week.

The playground is designed with inclusion in mind. Much of the equipment is accessible to all ages and abilities.

It opened six years ago after Cambridgeshire County Council decided that a n £800,000 Government grant to build an adventure playground should go ahead in Wisbech.

The council said they wanted an adventure playground that responded to community requirements, involving local children and residents in various stages of the design and build process.
