Fenland's oldest operatic group has launched an appeal for memorabilia - after a website revamp found several gaps in its 100-year archive.

Wisbech Amateur Operatic and Dramatic Society is missing programmes from numerous pantomimes and summer shows held since the very first in 1905.

The society's archivist Isobel Shippey carried out the archive re-haul alongside the web revamp and said: "Even though we have many photos, programmes, dinner dance menus, newspaper articles and reviews going back to the society's first show, A Moss Rose Rent, we are still missing articles from several of our more recent shows.

"Having been involved with the society for more than 30 years, it's been absolutely fascinating going through the archive, and I find that once I start working on it, I can't stop.

If anyone has anything that they are willing to donate or loan to the society, contact Isobel on 07840 914869 or email isobel@fendiva68.wanadoo.co.uk.

* The society is busy rehearsing for its next show, the 1920s musical The Boyfriend, last performed by the society in 1982.

It will be performed at the Thomas Clarkson Community College, Wisbech, from May 27-31.
