Families enjoyed a taster day thanks to an archery club that held an open event as part of archery fun across the country for the Big Weekend.

Marshland Archers, which has been running for two years, invited people to try out the sport at Walpole St Andrew Community Centre in Summer Close, Wisbech.

There was also an indoor craft fair, outdoor car boot sale, inflatables, games, hot food and ice cream.

Caroline Coates, secretary of Marshland Archers, said: “Archery GB’s Big Weekend, in association with Foresters Friendly Society, saw around 90 clubs across the UK open their doors to potential archers.
