Appeal for information after bonfire started deliberately in Walsoken

A bonfire was started deliberately in Walsoken yesterday.

At about 3.50pm, two crews from Wisbech were called to an unattended bonfire on land next to Stow Road.

Firefighters extinguished it using hose reels and returned to their stations by 4.15pm.

The cause of the fire was deliberate. Anyone with information should contact the police on 101 or the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
