RETIRED lorry driver Raymond Fisher was nursing both a 200 vet's bill and his beloved Jack Russell after his pet dog of 10 years was mauled yesterday by an Alsatian.
"It all happened so suddenly," said Mr Fisher, who described how the Alsatian ran up to Molly, the Jack Russell he has owned for 10 years.
"I was outside the house near my car and as always Molly comes and sits there," said Mr Fisher. "I went back in for a moment and when I came back I heard a rustling noise and saw this big Alsatian giving Molly what I can only describe as a bloody good hiding."
Mr Fisher, of North Rec Drive, March, rushed the dog to a vet in Wisbech where she was treated and spent the night before he was allowed to collect her today.

Mr Fisher, 75, said: "It all happened so fast and was over in a couple of minutes. I'm an old age pensioner and disabled but in my younger days I would have chased after the owner and asked him what he was about.
"Molly is back home having been stitched."
