CAMPAIGNERS calling for safety measures along the A1101 were on Wisbech Market Square on Saturday promoting tonight's public meeting.
Hundreds of leaflets and balloons were also handed to passers-by throughout the morning.
Campaigner Virginia Bucknor said: "It was good to put names to faces. We gave out hundreds of balloons to the children which had details of our Monday meeting on it so we hope that will remind everyone to come."
The public meeting takes place tonight at Tydd St Giles Community Centre, starting at 6.30pm. Representatives from Cambridgeshire County Council, police and the emergency services will attend.
