THE mayor of Wisbech, Councillor David Oliver, and fellow town councillors led a short commemoration service for war veterans on Sunday.
About 50 veterans who served in the armed forces before 1954 attended the service at the war memorial, including representatives from RAF Burma Star, Royal Naval Association and Old Comrades Association.
Participants gathered outside the town council chamber, in North Brink, for a parade to the memorial for the service.
A parade back to the council chambers followed, before refreshments were served at the Royal Air Force Association Club, in nearby Old Market.
