A WISBECH pub is set to re-open following a 37,000 face-lift.
The Royal Standard, owned by Punch Taverns, is just one of the pubs to benefit from the company’s 20 million investment scheme. The pub now boasts a new look interior, improved food menu and fenced-off outside garden area.
Wayne Ratcliffe, licensee of the The Royal Standard, said: “I believe we have created a great environment for all and that is really paying off with the comments we have received from our customers.
“We’ve had great support from Punch Taverns in re-launching the pub as part of the I4G scheme and I hope that the pub can go from strength to strength from here.”
Jean-Paul Russek, business relationship manager at Punch, also said: “Our I4G scheme aims to assist partners in growing their businesses and set them up for sustained success by focusing on upgrading food offers, introducing or improving cask-ale offers as well as improving internal and external signage.”
