A tour of Tapping House Hospice was given to Upwell Christmas Charity organisers before a £300 cheque presentation on Sunday.
The money was raised from an annual Christmas buffet dance held at Upwell Hall on December 5, where people danced to local 60s band Sounds Familiar. They also enjoyed a ploughman’s supper, prepared and served by Liz Carter and Ros Shorting.
A cheque was presented to Jessica Walker, events co-ordinator of Tapping House Hospice, to be used for the benefit of day-care patients.
A further presentation will be made to Rudham Children’s Ward on Sunday March 13, for equipment for taking children’s blood.
The next Upwell Christmas Charity Dance will be held Saturday December 3 at Upwell Hall in aid of Tapping House Hospice Children’s Bereavement Suite.
