A Fenland shop has been shut down after police seized vapes and illicit cigarettes.

The March Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) closed Green Shop on Whitmore Street, Whittlesey, on August 7.

Police also gave a 22-year-old man a community resolution for possessing cannabis.

PC Callum McGarvie, from the NPT, said: "In addition to the warrant, we knew further action had to be taken in response to community reports of anti-social behaviour originating from the shop.

"We are listening to those affected by these issues, and I encourage them to report any potential breaches to us."

Officers then secured a full closure order at Cambridge Magistrates’ Court on September 4.

The three-month order bans everyone from entering except the landlord, authorised contractors and emergency services.

Breaking the order is a criminal offence punishable by up to three months in prison, a fine or both.
