Drivers face a weekend closure at the A141 and Twenty Foot Road junction near March for resurfacing and bridge waterproofing.
Contractor Octavius has written to residents and businesses on behalf of Cambridgeshire County Council about the roadworks and traffic restrictions.
The notice says the A141 at the Twenty Foot Road junction will shut from 8pm on Friday, September 11, with work continuing around the clock all weekend.
The road is due to reopen at 6am on Monday, September 14.

The work includes resurfacing the road and waterproofing the bridge, while Twenty Foot Road will remain closed afterwards for final work.
Residents inside the closure area will have no vehicle access during the weekend work.
Anyone who needs their vehicle should arrange parking outside the area before the closure begins.
Emergency services will retain access if needed.
The project team will contact people directly affected by the work to answer their questions.
Motorists and other road users are advised to take alternative routes while the closure is in place.
Nicola Foster, Octavius’s stakeholder and social value manager, issued the notice and apologised for the disruption.

The scheme is part of Cambridgeshire County Council’s ongoing improvement work and is expected to disrupt weekend traffic between March and nearby communities.
The closure is part of a wider nine-month junction improvement scheme, which includes new traffic lights, a right-turn lane for vehicles joining Twenty Foot Road and crossings for pedestrians and cyclists.
