Cambridgeshire schoolchildren are back in class, so here are the county council’s key term dates for autumn 2026 and spring and summer 2027.
The dates apply to community and voluntary controlled schools, but academies, foundation, trust and voluntary aided schools set their own calendars.
Pupils returned this week, and the autumn term runs until Friday, October 23.

Half term runs from Monday, October 26, to Friday, October 30.
The second half of the autumn term runs from Monday, November 2, to Friday, December 18.
The Christmas holidays run from Monday, December 21, to Friday, January 1.
The spring term runs from Monday, January 4, to Friday, February 12, followed by half term from Monday, February 15, to Friday, February 19.
The spring term resumes on Monday, February 22, and ends on Thursday, March 25.
The Easter holidays run from Friday, March 26, to Friday, April 9.
The summer term runs from Monday, April 12, to Friday, May 28, with half term from Monday, May 31, to Friday, June 4.
The final part of the summer term runs from Monday, June 7, to Wednesday, July 21.
In March 2024, Department for Education guidance said fines must be considered when a child misses five school days through unauthorised absence.
