A derelict bungalow with a large garden will be replaced by two new homes.
Fenland Council has given Cartel Investments planning permission to redevelop the site on the northern outskirts of Wisbech.
Detailed plans for two four-bedroom houses with twin-car garages have been agreed for the plot on Barton Road, after outline permission was granted in February.

A planning officer's report said the scheme would enhance the character of the area.
It added: "The proposed dwellings are considered to be of an appropriate design, scale and appearance that would integrate satisfactorily with the character of Barton Road and the wider area."
The site currently houses a vacant red brick bungalow, outbuildings, and hardstanding, most of which are in poor condition while it has suffered from vandalism.
Trees and hedgerows will be planted around the new houses to encourage wildlife.
