An inflatable theme park in Cambridgeshire is no longer part of the Inflata Nation network due to reported safety compliance issues.
The park, on Eye Road, in Peterborough, had been operating under the Inflata Nation brand.
However, its franchise agreement was terminated on July 5, 2026 following compliance concerns identified during the company's routine franchise audit process.
The news comes after the Peterborough park was forced to temporarily close on Sunday (July 12) due to "unforeseen circumstances".
Inflata Nation said that their audit revealed that the park's annual Amusement Device Inspection Procedures Scheme (ADIPS) inspection certificate had expired in April 2026.
According to Inflata Nation, the park continued operating without obtaining a new inspection certificate.
ADIPS inspection certificates are issued after inflatable equipment has been independently assessed for continued operation.
The status of these certificates can be verified through a publicly available ADIPS register.
In a statement, Inflata Nation said that despite repeated requests, the required independent inspection was not secured.
Following legal advice, Inflata Nation exercised its contractual right to terminate the franchise agreement.
Since then, the Peterborough inflatable park has been operating independently and is no longer authorised to operate under the Inflata Nation brand.
The company has stated it is unable to comment on or provide assurance regarding the standards to which the venue is currently operating.
A statement from Inflata Nation reads: "Inflata Nation has always regarded independent inspection as an important part of its overall safety management system and requires every park within its network to maintain a current inspection certificate at all times."
Inflata Nation has a number of sites across the UK, including Manchester, Glasgow and Ipswich, and opened the Peterborough site in 2020.
Inflata Nation has reassured the public of its commitment to Peterborough and its local supporters.
The company said it is actively pursuing legal avenues to bring an official Inflata Nation venue back to Peterborough as soon as possible.
