Dozens of fundraisers from Cambridgeshire braved mud pits and climbing frames in a challenge with more than 30 obstacles.
More than 60 people took part in Mission Mud, raising over £9,700 for the Arthur Rank Hospice Charity during the event held on Saturday, May 9 at The Playground in Waterbeach.
The course tested participants with water challenges, mud pits and climbing obstacles.
Many took part in memory of loved ones, including young footballers from the Cambridge Cobras Under-8s and the St Ives Ladies Rugby Team.
Nick Smith, director of The Playground, said: "We’re absolutely delighted to support such a worthwhile cause and incredibly proud that Mission Mud has helped Arthur Rank Hospice Charity.
"Seeing so many people come together, push themselves out of their comfort zones and raise funds for the Hospice has been truly inspiring.
"The support and enthusiasm for this year’s event has been amazing, and we’re already looking forward to welcoming everyone back for next year."
The event atmosphere was one of teamwork and encouragement, with participants helping each other over walls, through muddy water and across rope obstacles.
Sarah Clayton, community fundraiser at Arthur Rank Hospice Charity, said: "Mission Mud was a brilliant example of our community coming together for local hospice care.
"Every person who signed up, fundraised and cheered others on has helped make a real difference to patients and families across Cambridgeshire.
"We’re so grateful for their support."
Funds raised from the event will support the charity’s work providing care and assistance to patients and their families across Cambridgeshire.
Mission Mud is set to return to The Playground on Saturday, May 8, 2027, with places already available to book at arhc.org.uk.
Arthur Rank Hospice Charity delivers vital services including in-patient care, outpatient support, and home visits for adults with life-limiting illnesses.
