More than 100 students and guests gathered to mark International Women’s Day with a day of inspiration.
The event took place on Friday, March 6, at Neale-Wade Academy and was organised by volunteer Karen Beckwith, with support from 2020 Productions and the Rev Ruth Clay of the March Churches Team Ministry.
Sponsored by the March Rotary Club, March Lions, and the March District Nursing Association, the event featured speakers from HM Courts and Tribunals Service, Aerotron Composites, and other industries.
Karen Beckwith, volunteer coordinator, said: "We are delighted to have been able to hold another successful IWD event at Neale-Wade, and to see such great dedication from everyone who attended.
"It’s always brilliant to receive such encouraging feedback."
Principal Graham Horn opened the event.
He said: "Our annual International Women’s Day event is always an important one on our school calendar.
"It’s brilliant to see our students learning from and being inspired by female role models and we are very grateful to them all for generously sharing their time and experiences with us."
