Potential buyers for the former Barclays Bank site in March have just days to put in a bid to seal the deal.
The site at 2 Broad Street is currently on the market with Maxey Grounds, with an asking price of £295,000.
The estate agent is marketing the site on behalf of Fenland District Council, which purchased the bank for £750,000 and has since spent £371,000 demolishing the building ready for its redevelopment.
As reported in the Cambs Times/Wisbech Standard earlier this week, the council is expecting to make an £826,000 loss on the site, as it says it is the final piece in the project to rejuvenate the town centre.

Now it has come to light that the building is being sold through the 'Best and Final Offer' bidding process.
That means anyone interested in purchasing the site has until February 13 to submit their 'final' offer in writing in a sealed envelope to the estate agent.
All the bids will then be reported to Fenland District Council on February 16, when elected members will determine the successful bidder.
Any offers received later than noon on February 13 will not be included.
Bidders need to submit relevant supporting finance information.
In order to progress to a successful completion, purchasers
will need to provide proof of funds, or proof of agreed facility if borrowing funds, at this stage.
Bidders are also being advised that they will be party to a contractual undertaking that the buyer will submit a valid planning application within six months of completion of the purchase.
The purchaser will also have to undertake to start work on the site within six months of planning being granted, and the work needs to be completed within 24 months of the purchase.
The bids will all be looked at together, and it will be up to councillors to decide whether to accept one or none of the offers made through the process.
Fenland District Council has been asked to comment on the latest development.
