An afternoon of tasty delight was enjoyed at a local care home with a special cheese and wine tasting.
Residents and guests at Rose Lodge, Wisbech, indulged in a variety of continental cheeses, including well-known French Roquefort and Italian Mozzarella.
The event further offered a large selection of wines, presenting a tour of global flavours.
Sweet and savoury snacks were served, all thoughtfully picked to complement the wine and cheese selection.
With fun facts presented to the participants, the event was both delicious and educational.
General manager, Megan Jones, said: “Our residents and guests had a wonderful day learning everything they could about wine and the different types of cheeses..
"We were all astounded to learn there are over 1,800 different types of cheese in the world."
One resident revealed the event was not only interesting but also enjoyable: "We had lots of fun trying all of the different wines.
"My favourite was definitely the Black Forest bottle by Jam Shed, it was delicious."
The home, run by Barchester Healthcare, is committed to offering a range of activities for residents.
